It's Fall in Texas, "y'all" and we're still here in the shorts, tanks and crop tops. To get into the spirit of the season, I went ahead and put on some boots. These boots traveled everywhere with me while I was in Peru, and I'm so glad to have them back from the cobbler looking (almost) brand new! These Birkenstock boots are designed to wear either with or without socks. I also have pretty bad/ugly feet from years of wearing ill-fitting shoes and cheap heels, so the orthopedic insole is a plus!
(Fun side note: This picture above was taken on my self-timer right after my wonderful, loving husband made a really smart a** comment after I asked him to go into the other room while I took these pictures. I know he only makes these comments so he can "have-a-seat-and-take-notes-on-the-clapback"...which is exactly why I'm laughing because I'm hearing no response but the sweet sound of silence. Game over. Try again next time. Love you boo! Lol.).
Another thing I love about this outfit is that it's great for layering. I'm still trying to understand why, in Texas, they keep the A/C so cold! In this outfit, I layered a Free People shirt on top of a Free People crop top. These crops tops are typically not designed with upper-body support in mind. So I just wore a really supportive sports bra underneath. This one is from Adidas. You can't even tell!
The remaining pieces in this outfit are reruns in my capsule wardrobe purchased from Nordstrom Rack. Looking forward to cooler weather soon! Cheers to Fall!
