At the end of August, I attended Yellow Conference in Los Angeles, and got to meet so many amazing, entrepreneurial women who have a heart for quality, ethical, sustainable design. One of my favorite brands to discover was Genuine + Ginger--a New Mexico based handmade jewelry and woven wall hangings brand with a minimalist and delicate, "refined boho" aesthetic.
Genuine & Ginger began as a therapeutic practice back in 2014 as a way for Kyla Donner, (founder) to express creativity, emotion, inspiration and vision. Kyla and her story is what I absolutely love the most about connecting with brands such as Genuine & Ginger.
Even though her brand has grown, she stays true to wanting the heart of Genuine & Ginger to be about buying more thoughtfully, and not mass consumption. Everything they handcraft is done so with real people in mind. Easy and effortlessly styled, timeless, and worn for years to come.
I've been really feeling some statement earrings this season, and with 50% of the profits going to help Hurricane Harvey victims here in Houston, this purchase was a no-brainer.
I chose the Forrest Green Fringe Earrings because I wanted something a little bit different in color and style from what I already have (which is A LOT of black and gold). My petite self dresses a lot in monochromatics and I had an olive-ish green top that I really like, so the Forrest Green it was. Also love these earrings with anything black (not pictured) or it's pink-ish complement.
