So, I wasn't planning on journaling about this outfit because it wasn't "planned," but literally, this was the first available combination I saw in my closet this morning and when I came home, I thought, "Eh...not too bad. Why not show this on the blog?"
Super simple to put together (and super comfortable too!). Perfect for those low key, lazy girl, boho chic days--which for me, is pretty much every day lol. This jumpsuit has been a staple in my closet for the past three years--it's a v-neck halter one-piece, spandex, jumpsuit purchased at American Apparel. The kimono is a new piece I added for the Fall from Free People as well as these handcrafted Genuine + Ginger tassel earrings. Also wearing my collection of Alex & Ani bracelets because I was feeling slighty more "boho" today.
Also, the corset trend is back "in," so I pulled this belt out of my accessories box. I've had this piece since 2008! Can't believe it's almost 10 years old and still going strong! Perfect for this season and I prefer it more than the fabric corsets that I've been seeing in the store. The leather really makes it stay put. I originally purchased at BCBGMAXAZRIA. As I said, this was a LONG time ago, but who knows, they may currently have a similar style. eBAY and Etsy are always other places to check of course. Worse case scenario if you REALLY want a belt like this, you can probably find a maker on Etsy who can make you something similar!
Lastly, my new "investment" Stuart Weitzman piece. I was eyeing up those Stuart Weitzman "Highland" OTK (over-the-knee) boots for the last few years, and actually purchased them once, but I had to return them because it really was too much for my every day life. I was about to make the purchase again this year, but I really fell in LOVE with these booties instead! They're the Stuart Weitzman Notazzie Bootie in Black suede. As soon as they came in, I sprayed them down with a suede protectant to keep the suede lasting as long as I can, before I take them in to the cobbler for maintenance. The 3-inch heel on this is PERFECT for my boho, low key, lazy girl chic lifestyle.
Oh yeah, and don't forget to throw on a little RBF on-the-side! LOL (jkjk, well, kind of, sort of, not really).
