I really love quotes. Like really, REALLY. I know they can be cheesy and cliche at times, but really, nothing warms my soul more than to be surrounded by words that uplift and encourage.
Whenever I look for quotable art to purchase at the store, they never seem to have ones that I really want. So I've taken to making my own. This year, I've been documenting the quotes that I find interesting in my Evernote, and I currently have a list of over 250+ little phrases of wisdom ready to be transformed into a quote printable at any moment.
So, I decided to share my creations with you all and make them available for free download as they are released.
Each quote is something I'm currently finding meaningful or reflecting on in my daily life, and this quote by Frida Kahlo, "I paint my own reality," perfectly sums up where I'm headed next after this most recent PIVOT in my life. For so long, I allowed the well-meaning opinions of others drown out what I knew to be true for myself, and what I wanted in my life. After a few years of soul-searching, researching and trying a lot of new things, I let it all go in favor of taking life one step at a time by making decisions, in peace, in the present moment and diving in to the little calls on my spirit without questioning or knowing what outcomes lie ahead.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow may never come. The only real moment we have is the present.
So with no outcome in mind, no dreams to chase, and no checkboxes to check, here I am, just doing what lights my soul on fire, in the present moment. My life is pretty much a blank canvas at this part. I have a number of tools in my "artist's kit," from experiences I've had over the last 30 years, and I'm finally in a position where I can choose, rather than chase, the life my heart desires. It is my hope that perhaps you can find a space in your life where this quote resonates with you as well.
