With everything that went on this year, Alex and I decided to celebrate the season and "return of the light" with a mini glamping adventure on Lake Palestine with Airbnb. (And when I say, "Alex and I decided..." I really mean ALEX because this was 100% his idea and I had ZERO say in the planning...lol).
Some photos from our very merry Christmas glamping experience with Airbnb. It was so wonderful just to get away and reflect on the blessings and challenges of the year and RESET for 2018 (while eating lots of food and watching lots of movies).
There was limited decor in the Airbnb cabin, so I got two boxes of lights from Target to make the environment a bit more festive. It was actually really nice and refreshing to not be immersed in the whole busy-plan-for-Christmas-and-decorate...THING. We've actually gone pretty minimal on Christmas for the past three years or so and it has been AMAZING. It has really allowed me to connect with all the "spirit" of the season without getting caught up in all of the Christmas hype.
For short road trips, my capsule wardrobe has really trained me on how to pack light. I can fit everything into my Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe Tote.
